Back in HCMC

We are back in HoChiMinh City. It is the end of the day on Monday, May 26th. Caleb is such a good baby! He slept the whole night through last night and I hope will so the same tonight. Today we went to the Ministry of Justice and signed our papers making him ours. Then we drove 4 hours back to HCMC applied for his passport, and went to the required medical exam. What a full day. Caleb napped for an hour and a half in the van and later we all napped when we checked into out room in HCMC. Henry has been taking good care of us and treating us to us to some amazing fruits. It is peak season for mangos, pineapple, papaya, another fruit called april starfruit? And Henry’s favorite, Stinky fruit! Its smell matches its name perfectly!! Tonight we found a market that was like an American mall and had nice shopping. We finally got our computer connected but now the battery is low so we will have to try pictures tomorrow—sorry. You will love him, he is so smiley and cuddly. We are enjoying him so much.

Cambria and Carisa we hope that you have a wonderful time with Aunt Becky and Grandma Gail. Have a good day in school on Tuesday. Carisa give good smiles for Gretchen!

We got Him!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

After a total of 35 hours of traveling to be here in Vietnam we got HIM!!! Henry met us at the airport at 9:50 this morning and asked if we would like to travel out to Can Tho today! We of course said YES!! So Henry and the other two FAITH Staff traveled with us an additional 4 hours to Caleb's orphanage. Caleb is HANDSOME and smiley. We spent about 30 minutes at the orphanage and we took pictures of some of the beautiful children whose families are waiting for them. The bummer thing is that our lap top is not working properly and so we are having to use the hotel computer. We will try to get our computer figured out tonight and see if we can't then upload the pictures.

Hi Cambria and Carisa. Mommy and Daddy miss you and we cannot wait for you to meet your new little brother! He already loves to push buttons and throw things!! He kept pointing at your pictures. I think he is going to really love you!!

Mandy, Noah's friend is no longer at the orphanage. But we passed on that your family is doing well. They were all glad to hear it!

Marcia, your daughter is beautiful!!! What a sweet spirit and lots of spunk. She was so cute and shy in front of the camera. She has a contagious smile. Henry is hard at work for you right now!

Angela, We got several photos of your baby and I got to hold him. He is really solid and strong. He was being fed a bottle and he turned his head and grinned for me when I first snapped his picture. He has a very good disposition and he has the absolute cutest cheeks!!

The babies rooms are a lot brighter and cheerier than I pictured. Henry said that they want to eventually replace all of the painted cribs with stainless ones. Then the rooms will look really new. They are very clean and the nannies that we met had a very pleasant disposition and manner with the children.
